DIY #9 Short Scale LP Style

Here is another Muslady product, again ordered through Walmart. The description showed this to be a full-sized guitar, but when it arrived it was a short scale (20.75-inches, the same as a Rickenbacker 325). It also had a crack in the body. I complained to the manufacturer, received a partial refund, and did the best I could with what I had. It came out OK, but I never really liked it.

The body and neck are mahogany, and it finished very nicely with Minwax Tung Oil Finish. I attempted to carve a “Gibson Scroll” in the headstock. This has a wrap-around bridge and tailpiece (like a Les Paul Junior), just one humbucker pickup, and a single volume control. It plays OK, but I’ve never really gotten used to the short scale.
