DIY #31 Strat Style

Here is a great little unbranded Stratocaster kit. It has a basswood body and a rippled flamed maple veneer top. The pickguard isn’t just plain white like most of them; this is white pearl with an HSS pickup configuration. Something a little different than the ordinary kit.

The basswood body looks great, and I just finished it with several coats of Minwax Wipe-On Poly. For the flamed maple top, I used a burgundy blend of Keda Wood Dye, finished with the Minwax Wipe-On Poly. The neck and headstock have Minwax Tung Oil Finish. It had a blade headstock, and I gave it a unique custom shape. This guitar has excellent intonation and action.
