This is a very nice Strat-style kit from Fistrock, available at Amazon. It has a basswood body. I tried to use Keda Wood Dye, but the basswood came out very splotchy. So, I picked up a can of green spray paint. At first it didn’t look that great, but then I rubbed the entire painted body with steel wool and got a very nice, even, and smooth finish. I covered it with Minwax Wipe-On Poly. The maple neck and headstock, which I had to shape from a blade, has Tru Oil Gunstock Finish.
